50 Shades Better

Fifty Shades (of Grey that is) is not a BDSM book.  If that is what you seek, you will be disappointed. It is a romance. It touches briefly (very briefly) on themes of an adult nature, but they take it out of context who hail it to be anywhere near "the edge".

The plot is that a young innocent woman is drawn to a man who has a darker side.  By the end of the book, his darkness is cured and they all run happily through the meadow.

OK, it does describe a Playroom, and there are canes, but sadly he has sold them by the end of the second book, by which time, I was ou,t as they say on Dragon's Den.

Trilogy of Pain - 50 Shades of painful torture if you read through to the end

Fear not!  I will save you the trouble.

My outrage was threefold.  First that the Submissive ladies were portrayed as pathetic creatures with no sense of self-worth and second that the implication is that a Dominant man with a sadistic tendency has perhaps suffered an early trauma that has made him that way.  Thirdly, that a nice, well balanced, "normal, bolshy, unsubmissive" young lady can put him right with the power of love.

Heard enough?  Stop covering your ears and cringing.  All is not lost you know.

I have come to help.

It was during the writing of my own tale that 50 Shades appeared on the supermarket shelves.  Actually they were whisked off the shelves at Sainsbury.  Sainsbury types, as we all know, couldn't possibly handle the thought of a blindfold, handcuffs and a few playful smacks now could they?

I am a real, practicing Submissive Masochist, collared to a real, practicing Dominant Sadist.  My name is Angel Sub.

& He is Master Hood

Together, we are Domsub1, a creative team, dedicated to the expression of the art form that is BDSM in its fullest sense; Bondage, Discipline, Dominance, Submission, Sadism & Masochism.

We are both journalists and it came to pass that right from the start of our journey everything got written down and saved.  It took the shape of a book, so I literally stuck it all together.  What emerged is now safely stowed in the Amazon Cloud and available for you to buy and read if you like.

The plot is my own.  It covers the background of Why, then it begins with my search, continues with my success and my initiation into the scene through a series of Tests, set for me by my would be Dominant.  I pass them all and earn the right to wear his collar.  The whole affair took around 6 months.  It began in the British Spanking forum (and I still have the transcript) and it reached a climax in an elaborate Collaring Ceremony (sadly Masterhood appears to have mislaid the script for this, but we are hunting for it - OOH!  What?  Masterhood does nothing wrong, being the perfect one that he is.  He never mislays anything.  The script is simply not with us at this time!).

Although maybe if 50 Shades hadn't appeared (and a Dangerous Method), I would not be so driven by fire to make my own story available.  Perhaps it would never have seen the light of day, remaining private and hidden as it perhaps should be.  But something is driving me forward relentlessly and I cannot ignore it.  50 Shades haunts me.  I have something to say and I must say it.

My story essentially celebrates Dominance & Submission.  In the fantasy that is Domsub, the sub is exalted, cherised, prized & beautiful.  The submission is like that of Christ; strong, graceful and humble.  The Dominance is passionate and fierce.

I am not a pathetic, miserable doormat.  I am a very strong, independent, curious woman, with a huge sense of humour, gentle, kind, meek and mild like an Angel, bold, daredevil, thrill seeking Phoenix.

Our activities are mutually satisfying.  We are both dedicated enthusiasts who enjoy playing with Pain.  We are a perfect little jigsaw.  I like pain.  It is fun to get it.  He likes providing pain to one who enjoys it.  Its beautiful.

So the book is part of the Domsub1 series (Oh Yes, there is more).

First one is called Angel Sub: BDSM Entry Level, because it is an initiation.

Second one is under construction and is called Inside Domsub1: The Collared Reality

And Third is     Masterhood: Twisted Advanced Level.  I haven't written this yet, but you can see where I am going with it.  Remember at all times that it is me who asks.  That is the sequence.  I ask, he answers.  It has never been that he has muscled in.  Notice that it is ME who is asking for TWISTED.  He will no doubt read this and absorb it on a deep and satisfying level of fulfillment.

Picture it like this.  I was a seeker after truth & when I looked into the eyes of Masterhood, I saw what I was looking for.  I really strived to earn the prize of collar.

Submission to the will of another and giving up of one's ego is no way an easy act.  It takes strength and it takes courage. But why would anyone want to do that, I hear you ask.  The answer is because I can, my friends.  I do so CONSCIOUSLY and deliberately.  If you really want to know you have to experience it for yourself.  You could start by reading my book, my own introduction.
